Founded by Nerline Saint-Velus—an esteemed educator, devoted mother, and proud Caribbean immigrant—The Leopard Educator is an educational consulting firm committed to advancing Black students' academic and personal growth in the diaspora. We aim to foster equitable and inclusive educational environments that support academic success, cultural identity, and holistic well-being.

Nerline was inspired to launch The Leopard Educator by her journey. Raised by a single mother after losing her father at the age of three, she witnessed firsthand the challenges and disparities faced by Black students in navigating the educational system. Education was always emphasized in her home as the key to overcoming adversity, but it was clear that access and support were not equally distributed. These lived experiences and years of professional expertise became the foundation for a consulting platform rooted in equity, cultural awareness, and student empowerment.

The Leopard Educator exists to close the opportunity gap and provide tailored academic guidance, literacy support, and strategic college planning for first-generation students and their families. Nerline's vision is to offer more than just services; it's about building confidence, affirming identity, and unlocking leadership potential in the next generation of Black scholars.

A belief in justice-driven education deeply informs our work. We recognize the educational debt owed to marginalized communities and actively work to reverse it by equipping students and families with the tools, mentorship, and culturally relevant strategies needed to thrive.

We support first-generation Black high school students as they rise with clarity and confidence, preparing them for college and beyond. We coach teens through reading, writing, and self-advocacy while guiding families through school systems that often feel overwhelming and inaccessible.

We break down academic barriers, provide scholarship and college-readiness strategies, and empower parents with the knowledge and confidence to actively support their child's educational journey. Our goal is not simply to help students succeed in school but to equip them with a lifelong sense of purpose, pride, and possibility.
