Founded by Nerline Saint-Velus, an esteemed educator, devoted mother, and Caribbean immigrant, The Leopard Educator is dedicated to championing the educational journey of Black students in the diaspora. Nerline is committed to advancing the academic and personal growth of Black students. Her mission is to foster equitable and inclusive educational environments that promote each student’s academic success and holistic well-being. This vision is not only possible but necessary; it fuels her daily.
 

"I was inspired to start The Leopard Educator Educational Consulting by my own journey, raised by a single mother of five children after my father passed when I was three years old," Nerline explains. "Education was always emphasized as the key to overcoming challenges and achieving success. Witnessing firsthand the disparities in educational access and support, especially for Black students, ignited my passion to create a platform that would provide tailored educational services and support."
 

Nerline was moved by the resilience and determination she saw in her community, despite facing numerous obstacles. "I wanted to make a tangible difference by empowering Black students with the tools, resources, and mentorship needed to succeed academically and beyond. Recognizing the educational debt owed to marginalized communities, my goal was to create an organization that not only addresses academic needs but also celebrates cultural identity and fosters a sense of pride and achievement within the community."
 

Ultimately, Nerline's upbringing and experiences have shaped her vision for The Leopard Educator, where the team is committed to breaking barriers, promoting educational equity, and empowering the next generation of Black leaders through education.
